IMPORTANT, IMPORTANT, IMPORTANT:
Progress Show - Rescheduled for January 16, 2010 at LD Robinson Pavilion
FFA students should be starting work on Marketing add-on letters.
Hints for doing that:
Here are some basic ideas you should include in your letters. When you write them, keep in mind that they should be personal and in the “student’s voice” not the parents! The letter should reflect your student and their personality. Be specific, to the point and add photos when you can! The letter head does not have to be formal…by any means and if your student finds a cute notecard or something to that effect…even better! This is THEM asking for support!!
Remember these are suggestions only and not all of them have to be used!!
*student’s name and class ranking
*what are they raising, name of animal/breed and something interesting about the animal
*how do they care for it…time and effort etc…
*where is it housed
*why do they want support/money/donations
*what do they plan to do with the money and that no amount of money is too small!
* what is FFA about and/or what is the Livestock show and auction about
*dates and times of your animal show
*date and time of auction and lunch for buyers
*who the check is made out to: Katy ISD (tax deduction)
*where they should mail it and by when it should be mailed
*thank them in advance for considering making a donation!
(additional thank you’s will go out later as school projects)
*telephone number if they have questions
